I have been having this problem for some time now and I'd appreciate anyone's
advice.

Two out of every three times I boot-up, I find (via the use of other
applications that get blocked) that my Mac SE/30 turns on Appletalk and
switches my printing port from the printer port to my modem port.

What is causing this?  How can I stop it from recurring?
