Robarts Research Institute, London, Ontario Lines: 31 Originator: vesely@valve.heart.rri.uwo.ca I've got the new NextStation and I'm having a lot of problems transferring Postscript images from DOS applications. Specifically, I'm using CorelDraw, a very nice package that also exports EPS files. The problems is as follows: I can click on the files when I get them into the Next and they are loaded into the previewer. Postscript errors however are encountered during the process, but the image is displayed anyway. The first error is : "Pages are not properly declared" the others is: "errors encountered that may not allow to display complete image" The major problem, however, is that I can't import these files into Draw. I can drag the icon over, but the image doesn get pasted... no errors... nothing. With postscript files that get created within Draw, there are no problems pasting into other draw files. I ran an error checker through my postscript printer to see if CorelDraw createsfaulty Postscript code, but there were no problems. All of these files get printed out on the printer with no problems anyway. The problem therefore appears to be in the Next postscript interpretor. It may not recognize all the Adobe commands. Has anyone come accross a similar problem and have a fix? I realy need to nave access to all my old images made on the DOS system, if I'm going to convert my whole lab to the Next. Thats the main reason I bought the machine in the first place. The sales people told me that its fully compatible with postscript.
