Montana Message-ID: <3334@dali> Date: 18 Jan 91 19:33:31 GMT Sender: usenet@dali.cs.montana.edu Organization: Montana State University, Dept. of Computer Science, Bozeman Lines: 25 As you can see from above I attend Montana State University in Bozeman. NeXT virtually has no influence in Montana what-so-ever. There is no retailer or educational dealer in the state. Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to what action I could take to purchase a machine on the educational program? Also I have a few general questions for those of you who have been closely following the lastest developements from NeXT Inc. 1. Is it possible to use a color NeXTstation in a mode which would only use 2 bits per pixel. (Thus greatly improving performance for times when color is not needed?) If this is possible what is involved in accomplishing the bit/pixel change? 2. What is a NeXT campus consultant? Who do I contact to apply for this position? What are the benefits of having this position? I am very serious about persuing this. I really believe that the presence of a consultant in the Montana University system could really make a difference in Montana.
