I compiled and ran it on a relatively quiet 68040 NeXT.

datran2% cc bench1.c
datran2% a.out
r = 16.695311
RunTime = 29.116667

I haven't been following comp.benchmarks, so I don't know how this fits
in.  Would you enlighten me.
