I was interested in purchasing the NeXTstation (mono) and the Laser printer.
However, I need to know if there is any way I can connect the NeXT 
to LocalTalk besides the Gatorbox.  (1500 is a little ridiculous considering
I am going to be the only one using it.)  I have heard of the Sh(r)iva FastPath
but 
1)Is there any PD software to support this?
2)Is there any cheaper alternative ($500 and under) to connect the Ethernet
to Appletalk?
 
Also, I am really new to the NeXT, and I wanted to know the story behind any 
terminal programs and modem communication since I have seen some disturbing
messages that some people cannot get their terminals up and running..
