Does anyone know how to comment awk or nawk programs?  I haven't been able
to find any reference to comments in any of the references we have.

I've found that a *CRUDE* way of commenting is to put comments in as patterns.
Of course this will considerably slow down processing of large data files... 

Any suggestions?
