Service is usually EXCELLENT. But make sure you know what you want! As to 1.44M floppies on 720K system, 1.44M floppies are basically 1.2Meg floppies in the 3.5" form factor, and spinning at 300 RPM as opposed to the 1.2M drives 360RPM. This is why you have 1.44M over 1.2M. This also explains why you need a floppy disk controller that supports the 500KHz data clock rate, which most 720K disk controllers DON'T have. You would have to be able to change controllers, tough in an integrated laptop. There IS one possibility. It the machine uses some of the newer 'custom' LSI, there is a chance that the 500KHz data clock support was designed in but just not implemented. If so, and you are willing to attack your motherboard with an X-acto and wire, MAYBE you could convert it..... Mike Yetsko InterLan
