Message-ID: <62177@bbn.BBN.COM> Date: 17 Jan 91 19:06:17 GMT Sender: news@bbn.com Reply-To: gonzalez@BBN.COM (Jim Gonzalez) Lines: 12 I've been having some difficulty using an ADDS Viewpoint dialed into a Sun. When I use vi, it does odd things like placing the "empty-line squiggles" at the far right instead of the far left. I know that absolute cursor addressing string from /etc/termcap is correct, since I use it in a CP/M-based editor for the same terminal. I suspect that a configuration switch on the terminal is causing it to behave differently for some less- frequently used feature (like relative cursor motion). Does someone have a summary of the switch settings handy that they could post or email? Thanks. -Jim.
