Message-ID: <10004@ncar.ucar.edu> Date: 22 Jan 91 17:53:45 GMT Sender: news@ncar.ucar.edu Reply-To: fredrick@acd.ucar.edu (Tim Fredrick) Organization: Atmospheric Chemistry Division/NCAR, Boulder CO Lines: 17 GatorPrint (print serving software from Cayman Systems for their GatorBox) crashes the entire GatorBox when it receives print jobs from AIX3.1 pl3002. The same files printed from a Sun and a Pyramid through the same GatorBox prints fine. Is there a way to find out exactly what print-job packets contain when sent by lpd/qdaemon to a remote machine? This information could help Cayman engineers figure out why the box crashed. Why would these packets be any different than lpd packets sent by any other BSD Unix machine? Thanks. --Tim Tim Fredrick National Center for Atmospheric Research Atmospheric Chemistry Division fredrick@ncar.ucar.edu PO Box 3000 fredrick@ncar.CSNET Boulder, CO 80307
