I tried using it and had all kinds of problems with things hanging. I'd wait a revision or two. Perhaps you could look at amd. I think it's been patched up to work with the DEC MIPS stuff. If you insist on using Dec's automount, I recall reading somewhere that stderr needs to be redirected somewhere. ie, just running 'automount' in rc.local won't cut it, but typing automount at your terminal will. At least i think I remember reading this somewhere in this group. Perhaps somebody will verify it.
