Preferably based in Melbourne, Victoria. The DEC courses are pretty good. Utilities & Commands is pretty much on par with the VMS offering. System Management covers the whole gamut fairly well also. I did System Management in Sydney, and know they offer U&C and SM in Melbourne as well. Consult EDU. I know the DEC trainers try to avoid comparing VMS with Ultrix in the courses, but they will give equivalents if needed. The "Unix for VMS Users" book is reasonably good - but they have gone for straight command equivalence rather than conceptual. And I NEVER user runoff anyway so why tell me the unix equivalences !! Now for my question: When is DEC going to get off its butt and offer Ultrix Internals in Australasia. I can't afford to go to Boston (and I don't really fancy flying into the States just at the moment) ============================================================================== Computing Services Center Email: brendan@otago.ac.nz University Of Otago Phone: +64 3 479-8597 PO Box 56 FAX: +64 3 479-8577 Dunedin, New Zealand PSI: PSI%0530124000016::brendan
