It is stored on expo.lcs.mit.edu, in file ./contrib/ibm-rs6000.fix1. It does several things: a. makes some library subroutines compile under AIX 3.1. b. fixes xterm and xload to run properly under AIX 3.1. c. puts libraries, bitmaps, applications defaults files, etc. under /usr/local, to allow coexistence with the official AIX X windows release. d. builds shared libraries, which substantially decreases the size of clients. There are a couple of patches which seem appropriate for the regular release, such as a patch to search for bitmaps in $(INCDIR)/bitmaps instead of a fixed /usr/include/bitmaps. There is no server in this patch, but most applications run correctly under the official AIX X windows server.
