I set nntp-maximum-request to 1, to get around the known problem with NNTP 1.5.10 and GNUS. GNUS is running in Emacs 18.55. The server is running C-News (patches through 15-Dec-1990). The post appears to succeed from within GNUS, but on the server machine the NNTP log contains an entries: Jan 18 11:08:31 localhost nntpd[21557]: /usr/lib/news/inject/inews: /usr/lib/news/inject/inews: article in /dead.article Jan 18 11:08:32 localhost nntpd[21557]: ericf post succeeded which in itself is kind of contradictory. Does anyone out there have any idea what's going wrong? Posting works just fine using NN 6.4 using the same nntp server. The nntp "mini-inews" is running on the client (posting) machine. Any and all help is appreciated. I apologize if this has been discussed before. Thanks in advance! -EricF -- Eric R. Feigenson UUCP: mit-eddie!progress!erf Progress Software Corp.
