I know this is a pretty vague request, but does anyone have any particularly good recipes for soups (preferably under 1 hour cooking time)? Although I am not a strict vegetarian, I do prefer soups based on vegetables, lentils and other pulses, but frequently throw in some diced ham or chicken for good measure! As a victim of the cold weather in Scotland, I have been experimenting with various recipes for "warming soups", but without too much success. No matter how closely I stick to the recipe, my lentil soup always ends up more like mushy lentils in hot water! Sometimes I feel like resorting to my old habit of just buying tins of the stuff. Anyway, I would welcome any recipe suggestions for tasty, delicious, winter-warming soups to try my hand at. Cheers, Corina.
