Prodigy doesn't support error control, and they don't like to see 
the detection patterns sent by error-control modems.  Use "&Q0" in 
your initialization string or program it in your modem's 
non-volatile memory; this should help you to connect more reliably 
to Prodigy.

Smartcom II for the Macintosh from Hayes is very fast and can keep 
up with just about any modem.
