This has mostly been running smoothly but occasionally I'm having flow control problems (INPUT/SLAVE MODE errors from UUCP) that appear to be file dependant. When I see this, if I drop back to the UUCP standard protocol (g?) and non-MNP4 mode on the modem, everything is OK again. The problem is that I don't know how to determine if the problem is a bug in my UUCP e protocol or the modem's MNP4 mode. Are there any UNIXPC users with a DIFFERENT modem using otherwise the same configuration? Are there any non-UNIXPC users using the SAME modem and configuration but using a DIFFERENT UUCP? I not certain what brand of modem I'm talking to (I think it's a Hayes) but I could certainly find out. It could possibly be an interaction between the modems. I would appreciate any help the net can offer to get this resolved. For now, I will operate g protocol/non-MNP4. -- ================================================================ David Burris Aurora,Il. burris@highspl {att | uunet}!linac!highspl!burris ================================================================
