CS Person-In-Charge of Purchase (PIP) said that they chose USR, in part, due to USR's proposal to upgrade the 500 units to v.32bis in the near future. I've ordered my second v.32bis Dual Standard and it should be here in a week or so. When it arrives, I'll put it through its paces and summarize for the net. In the mean time, the first one I got (serial # xxxx-0017) has performed flawlessly (though I have yet to connect with another v.32bis modem, hence the order for the second) with both v.32 connections and HST connections. USR has, however, made a change to the unit. They ship the v.32bis Dual with a cube-type hang-out-of-the-wall power supply, replacing the older more desired black-brick-with-wires-out-of-each-end model. Too bad. Cheers, williams.gamma.is.tcu.edu
