But -- my status line, which used to indicate the date, time, disk usage, and number of active processes, now only shows the date and time. I tried making the `env' program setgid, but then when I try to start a shell, I get a message `csh: Permission denied Process shell exited abnormally with code 1' in the *shell* buffer. When I try to start a shell when I'm logged in as root, emacs simply hangs trying to start the shell. So my choice seems to be -- have `env' setgid, and not be able to use shell-mode, or have `env' normal (755), and not be able to see the load info on the status line. Am I missing something obvious?
