I agree with your post, David.  However, as I watch the thin reporting
of events in the Baltic Republics, I get the impression that Saddam is
a target of convenience.  All of your rhetoric, and all of our Commander
in Chief's rhetoric, applies equally to recent behavior of Nobel Laureate
Gorbachev.

Sorry about the violation of the news group charter, but these things
