Ok, after a lot of calling around and some helpful letters, I have
found out something that might lead to a solution.  If you have a
very recent (July 1990 or better?) version of PTR.EXE, and the
"autofont" files for your PostScript Type 1 fonts, you can add them
to your printer configuration files by typing PTR /AUTOFONT.

Now, WHAT IS AN AUTOFONT FILE??  Is that the *.AFM file I sometimes
see?  If not, is there a way to convert *.PFM -> AutoFont?

Once again, any help you could offer would be *greatly* appreciated.
Also, there seem to be alot of people interested in finding a
solution to this... rest assured that, if I find one, I will post it
here.
