Does anyone care to share their impressions regarding OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software for use with a scanner to "read" text from journals, newspapers, etc. I have used Logitech's CATCHWORD but I would like to know whether there are other, more reliable?, packages out there. I have problems with character recognition many times using CATCHWORD- too many IMO. I have a Logitech Scanman+ 1/2 page scanner that I'm using. Please forward any replies via e-mail since I don't normally read this group. Also, any tips you want to share would certainly be appreciated! Many thanks!!
