Today, I have only one simple question: Is it possible for a setuid root process to read and write each memory adress without using /dev/mem or /dev/kmem? If this possibility exists, it will improve speed of adressing video memory. I am interested in two things: Will this be able in PC MINIX 1.5.10 with a 286 or a 386 processor? If ok, did someone wrote a short assembler function, callable from c, which performs this function?
