FCBS are not a feature that you want to use under 4.01 because of the
large partition size. The FCBS can "wrap around" at the 32MB mark and
trash your disk.

That's the reason that share.exe is provided. Besides handling file
sharing, it also does some mumbo jumbo with FCBS so that they work
properly.

That may help your problem, but I wouldn't be suprised if the total
solution is some combination of share.exe and the FCBS config variable.
