How are you changing the screen size? The referance which dos uses as the screen dimensions are the bytes in the BIOS area: 0040:004A is a word containing the screen width in columns. The word at 0040:008A contains the screen length -1 (thus 24 means 25 lines). Also, some earlier versions of dos may not use these. If so you're out of luck.
