Are there any products or chip(sets) currently available which perform
data compression at the controller level in order to increase the
apparent size of a hard disk. Any pointers to products or articles in
magazines would be greatly appreciated. Information on higher density
recording formats would also be welcome although I am primarily after
info on compression based schemes (run length limited encoding etc.)
