Several organizations generate EDI standards.  Probably the most important
are: ISO (ISO 9735 EDIFACT) and ANSI (X12).  CCITT also recently approved
some recommendations to support EDI: X.435 and F.435.

Some industry-specific organizations also publish EDI standards for
their specific industries.
