We are looking for a version of TELNET that emulates an IBM 5250
terminal.  The 5250 is used mostly for talking to IBM AS/400
computers.  We want to connect PCs across campus to our AS/400 over
the campus TCP/IP net.	We are using the new Ethernet adapter for
the AS/400 to connect it to the campus network.

The TELNET must run under MS DOS on a generic PC or AT compatible.
We prefer public domain software with source code, but would like to
hear about commercial and shareware packages.

If you have heard of such a TELNET that emulates a 5250 please drop
me a line at pweiler@vms.macc.wisc.edu.  I will summarize the
responses I get and post the results here in a couple weeks.
