I am an American historian. I have not quite decided whether to focus on computers and society or whether to make it broader and talk about the new information age which would include stuff more like radio and television as well. Would focus on electronic information storeage and communication. I would appreciate information about any such courses already being given. I would appreciate a syllabus and any kind of bibliography. I'd also like to include media in the course presentation. If anyone knows of any good audio or video presentations re the topic, I'd like to get those names as well. It seems like Nova on Public TV must have had a broadcast or two. In any case, I'd appreciate information on such courses already in existence. I don't believe in totally inventing the wheel every time. Certainly, each teacher moulds a topic to his taste, but there must be much to learn from one another. By the way, I visited the information age exhibit at the Smithsonian. It is well worth seeing next time you are in Washington. Norman Coombs, Ph.D. Rochester Institute of Technology
