What I'd like to see is some preference/Xdefault like:

*.IconShortTitles: on
*.TitleBarShortTitles: on

to apply to any app that might wish to display a filename inside an
icon or a title bar respectively. :)

I would think that this wouldn't be too difficult to implement and
would make ATK even more configurable.
