I need a program that will allow me to generate raster images
with:

 o specific dimensions (256 X 256)
 o both graphics (e.g. circles, squares) and high-quality large text

This program must be able to save images in Sun Raster File format
(or, failing that, in xwd format).

Does anyone know of such a program that runs on a Sun (ideally, under
X11R4)?
