I am trying to determine the status of the book "Specification Case Studies"
by I. Hayes (Prentice-Hall International).  The book was published in 1987
but Prentice-Hall Canada assures me that it's been out of print since 1989.

As this book seems to be referenced fairly often, it seems odd that it would 
have gone out of print so quickly.  (Also, I have experience working in a 
bookstore and know that publishers are often out-to-lunch on their own titles.)

Can anyone inform me of the true status of the book?
Is there, perhaps, a new edition in the works?  A major revision?  
Is it simply gone?
