Over that time I figure I have used it for 90%-games 10% Word-pro. The first addition to my machine was an Amiga 501 card which gave me over 1meg RAM. Why did I buy the A501 you ask.....? Because I wanted to play Falcon...then later DM. Both games are outstanding. Unfortunately I assumed that these 1meg req'd games were a trend and that by now there would be bundles of games available that took advantage of this very basic expansion of the A500. But NO!!...we are still getting riped-off by shitty little C64 conversions over to the A500 which say "minimum 512k required" because the A500 has at least 512k in it anyhow. I digress. In Canada the the A501 card costs about 2 times the price of a good Amiga game (2 X $50-60). Yet there are people running around buying 10 $50 games a year who won't fork out $100-130 to double your RAM. So we have S/W houses still anchored to 512K even with impressive games like Falcon and DM selling well. Those S/W houses realised that MANY serious gamers have expanded to 1meg+ RAM. Before you flame me....I am not a hacker/guru/egghead with a fully blown Amiga XYZ with 3 megs etc etc. I realise that most Amiga's in the world are A500's especially in Europe. People...if you have an A500 and blow $300 a year on new games do yourself a favor and expand your RAM...buy DM and CSB and enjoy. Let's rock the boat a little.
