I can't be certain here (I've yet to receive 10.3 on cartridge (HP please note: I told Apollo that I'd ceased installing the OS from floppy & mag tape quite some time ago... ;-( ), but I'm pretty sure that the config file that it's talking about is /etc/sys.conf. This is the file that lists the libraries that should be loaded at boot-time. From the status code (name not found), I would guess that the file doesn't exist. Try booting the machine diskless, mounting the disk and checking for it's existence. If it ain't there, try copying a new one either out of the AA, or off the 10k (I don't have a 10k (too poor ;-( ) - so I'm not sure whether the sys.conf files will be identical). >I'll be much obliged if someone can help me on this. Hope I've obliged you ;-) Colin Disclaimer:I do not speak for Hewlett Packard - sheesh - HP don't even *like* me, and the University of Manchester rarely even notices my existence... I didn't do it, I wouldn't dare; I didn't want it, I wasn't there. -- Colin Dente | JANET: dente@uk.ac.man.ee.els Manchester Computing Centre | ARPA: dente@els.ee.man.ac.uk University of Manchester, UK | UUCP: ...!mcsun!ukc!manchester!dente ...
