Keywords: lpr, lpd, softlinks, SR10.2 Message-ID: <1054@eba.eb.ele.tue.nl> Date: 24 Jan 91 17:35:19 GMT Sender: news@eb.ele.tue.nl (The News system) Organization: Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands Lines: 23 A question: Has anybody tried to print through lpr/lpd with the -s switch of lpr? or the -i? When I do so things really get messed up. The -i switch doesn't work at all. The -s switch gives so the message the the file to print was not linked to the original file. whatever that can be. :( The header of the file is spooled further to /com/prf ......, but nothing of the actual file gets printed. I started using SUN's PC-NFS and this is the default way to print files with lpr. It took me a while to find out what was going on. But you can reproduce it by going like: lpr -i -s /etc/printcap Willem Jan Withagen.
