When I attempt to close a window attached to a process, the machine hangs for about 20 seconds. Edit windows and man-page windows close immediately. The other nodes in my net close process windows immediately. I have tried the usual things like removing the contents of the "/dev" directory and running "/etc/mkdev" with no improvement. I have recently reinstalled 10.2 on all my machines, however only this one seems to have this symptom. Since the display manager locks up while closing the window, I assume it is the culprit. All suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated. I will post a summary if anything of global interest comes up. Thanks in advance, -Goldfish (Shirley Maclaine told me there would be LIFETIMES like this)
