The problem seems that changing a PAD into CBREAK mode does not alway work. I am not getting the lockup problems that others have reported, the behaviour that I get is that the first couple of times you execute the program in a pad it correctly invokes vtserver services and sets CBREAK mode, then it will start invoking the vtserver services, but without CBREAK mode set. Is there something special I have to do to make this work consistently? I am told by others that this application fails similiarly, even if vt100 was started, and then the application is run, however, the program works flawlessly in an xterm window. I really hate to make DM users run an xterm just to use this application. -kevin saskdb@dev.sas.com
