The filetype should be TEXT, creator can be just about anything. I think if you use the text translation, AFX will set the filetype to TEXT, but if you use the default translation, it will be pdos or something like that. You can use ResEdit or some other utility to change the filetype if you need to. On a slightly different topic: How long can auxtypes be in ProDos? I noticed that the GS/OS GetFileInfo/Set FileInfo return a long word for the auxtype, but none of the programs that I've seen use the upper word.
