I have a few queries as to accomplishing two tasks under Hyper C.

a)  Reading a byte from port 2.
b)  Using assembly in C.  How do I even go about it?  In pseudo-code:

        main()
        {
                here  equ  $2000        ;Equates

                lda   here
                rts
        }

I have no idea how to get to this.  Could someone help me out privately?  I
will post a summary to the net if there is the demand for it.
