So it seems that it may not be ProTerm's fault, but a bug in ProDOS. Has anyone else had problems with this, with different communications software or even running some other type of program? Luckily in my case I had a backup of the trashed disk, so I didn't even attempt to salvage what was left. I did look at the volume directory, though, and it seemed to have been totally overwritten.
