I am wondering if I can use it with my ST. I have an ICD host adapter with an OMTI controller running a Syquest removable. Can the CD-ROM drive connect to this? This is odd. The ICD transforms the ACSI-SCSI conversion and the SQ555 is a standard SCSI-device, so no additional controller should be needed at all. Connecting that CD-drive should be no problem as long as it is a SCSI-drive (which it most likely is) If I can connect them, will CDs for the ST work in this drive? It will mostly be a metter of software. If you buy the CDAR from Atari you get something called "Metados" which allows you to access the CD-partitions. You might get the "Scheibenkleister" book as well and use the software of the disk inside it ;-) Sorry, I have no specs on the CD-ROM drive to help. If they are needed, I will get them later. You might want to check whether there are any oddities in the SCSI-commands of the CD-drive. As you only can get SCSI-0 commands through the DMA-port, these won't hurt, though...
