It's too bad the WUTIL formatting process doesn't have the capability to test and eliminate sectors using several different patterns. However, you might still try BACKUP/RE-FORMAT/RESTORE to see if you get some of the bad sectors picked up ("RE-FORMAT" like starting with a brand new disk). The other possibility, rather than using something to ignore the errors, is when you identify a file with the suspect sector in it, if it's sufficiently small, set is SYSTEM/READONLY/HIDDEN. That effectively locks out that sector from further use. You might also rename the file so it doesn't have a name you want to use. - --- ConfMail V4.00 * Origin: SYS$OUTPUT BBS * Library, PA * Fido 12t * 412.854.0511 * (1:129/38) ------------------------------ Date: 18 Jan 91 17:41 -0500 From: ANDREW TAYLOR To: CARL HOUSEMAN Subject: RE: TETRIS FOR RB? Tetris is available free on Glacier Peak (296) 644-8431. It uses GRaphics and comes in Color and Mono versions [grey scales chosen to be easily distinguished]. I find it extremely good and rather addictive. Pacman (from the same author) is also available and is a very good implementation of Pacman (but I'm no good at it). Tetris has the advantage that even the clutzy and uncoordinated (guess who) seem to be able to get better scores each time they play Tetris. Try it... you'll like it!
