Our problem turned out to be darn simple: the casing of the plug that plugs into the Casio was interfering with plugging the cable all the way in. Even though it felt as if the plug was completely seated, it wasn't. I finally noticed that by pressing the plug firmly into place, that the interface worked. Hopefully, that's your problem.
