Has anyone set up a functional machine language development package on
  an Amiga?  I can continue to do it all on UNIX, but it would be nice
  to cut a few steps out of the edit/compile/download/disconnect/download/
  test/edit/... cycle.  

By the way, I'm talking about machine language on the Hewlett-Packard
  model 48 Scientific Expandable, versions A through E, if anyone cares :-)
