After doing a directory of a disk, it holds the contents of that somewhere, so that when I do a directory of another disk, I get the old one. This extends to scrambling disks because it thinks it has something else on it. This sounds like a caching problem, but it still happens when I boot without any caching software or anything extra at all. I don't remember what kind of controller I have for it. Is there a possibility of the controller caching the info and not clearing it correctly? I can eliminate the problem by using a cache and clearing it before every operation, but eliminating the cache entirely doesn't fix the problem. Any ideas? Reply via email would be appreciated.
