Message-ID: <20585@hydra.gatech.EDU> Date: 28 Jan 91 23:21:29 GMT Organization: Psychology, Georgia Institute of Technology Lines: 24 In an earlier posting I mentioned that when I try to start my IBM PS/2 80, I get two beeps and then "162" appears on the screen. A number of people commented (thank you!!) that one possibility was that the configuration file (or whatever it is called) had somehow become messed up and perhaps the computer thought the A drive was something other than a 1.44mb drive. The suggestion was to use the reference diskette to make sure the computer knew that the A drive was a 3.5" 1.44mb drive. Well, I used the reference diskette to view the system configuration and the computer DOES believe the A drive is 3.5" 1.44mb. However, just to be complete, I did run an automatic configuration. However, when I try to restart the computer I get the same error as before. So, assuming I have followed the advice correctly that people gave me, what's next? Thanks for the help. -- CATRAMBONE,RICHARD Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Georgia, 30332 uucp: ...!{decvax,hplabs,ncar,purdue,rutgers}!gatech!prism!rc7 Internet: rc7@prism.gatech.edu
