I don't need anything more powerful than a 8088, but do need the capacity of the 1.44MB drives but cannot afford the additional cost of a 20MB hard drive (I am student). I also can't seem to find a 8088 based laptop with 2 - 1.44MB drives. Are there any considerations about power requirements ? Will the floppy controller(s) need to be replaced (I assume so, unless they are on the drives)? Eventually when I have the money, will I be able to pull out a floppy and put in a hard drive? Any help will be appreciated? Please e-mail replies. I will summarize if there is enough interest. -- -Satish K.
