Message-ID: <19405@shlump.nac.dec.com> Date: 24 Jan 91 18:04:34 GMT Sender: news@shlump.nac.dec.com Reply-To: wells@tle.enet.dec.com Organization: Digital Equipment Corporation, Nashua NH, USA Lines: 24 Is anyone aware of cheaper upgrade route for a T3100SX/40 to a larger internal hard disk apart from paying $1K to Toshiba for their 80MB disk (where they presumably keep the 40MB disk, too)? Does anyone know the controller type and power requirements and whether or not I can simply by an "appropriate" bare drive and swap it in directly? Otherwise, does anyone have experience with external hard disks for Toshiba systems, either through the parallel port (such as a Transportable Bernoulli II) or by putting a SCSI port in the (proprietary Toshiba) expansion slot and just getting a SCSIdisk? Any information is appreciated. Richard ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Richard A.
