The item referred to Toshiba's new 386sx based laptops in Japan.  This
series is calaled the Dynabook J3100SX001/002/021 series and has the
following features:

16MHz 386sx
001: 1 FDD 2MB RAM expandable to 10MB, plug-in 20MB hdd possible
002: 2 FDD 2MB Ram expandable to 10MB
021: 1FDD  1MB Ram expandable to 10MB, biltin 20MB 2.5" HDD

Weights: 2.5/2.7/2.8 kg
Prices: Y258K/298/368 with Japanese DOS3.1 and 100-240V ac adapter/charger

Presumably a beige version of the (dark gray) 021 will be made available
in the US as a 1200XE replacement.
