I'm posting because several people sent me notes asking for a summary. Basically there were only two packages that were mentioned frequently, Quicken and Manange Your Money. The concensus is that if your finances are relatively simple then Quicken is the way to go because it is cheap and functional. This compared to Checkwriter which people say is more expensive and as good or worse than Quicken. For serious folks with lots of money resources to manage the concensus was MYM.
