What I am tring to do is connect a LaserWriter Ntx to a Mac II and a Nec 286 ibm clone type of computer. If it is posible, I want to send a command file via the nec to the printer telling the printer to change the input port from rs-232 to apple talk. I tried to follow the examples in the manual but had no success. It woul be nice if I could change the printer back from apple talk to rs-232 but I can settel with turning off the printer and letting it switch back to rs-232 via the dip switch settings. I use the NEC 90% of and a assistant uses the mac II most of the time but only needs to use the printer occasionally. Apple has made the dip-switches almost imposible to get to. Thanks for any help I can get, Mike Burdett Please reply to me via e-mail burdett.u.washington.edu .
